"Coloseum & Vatican Tours"

We have just returned from a 5 day stay in Rome, during our time we did two tours with Maya Tours, the coliseum, palatine hill & roman forum tour & the early morning semi private Vatican tour.

Both of these tours were excellent!!

Paolo our guide at the coliseum was brilliant the tour was 2.5-3 hours long but from start to finish he was great! Learnt so so much from him & he was clearly passionate about what he was telling us & really made the tour even better.

The early morning Vatican tour was with a guide called Robert, again a great friendly guy! The Vatican is crazy busy, however we saw everything we wished to & with great knowledge along the way!

Overall I would recommend both tours highly, especially the coliseum tour with Paolo, it was one of the highlights of our holiday!

"Amazing in every way"

I just want to start off by saying that this tour, in the grand scheme of things, is SUPER cheap. I paid 210 euros for the Vatican tour and the Colosseum/Palantine Hill/Roman Forum tour for 2 people. If i’m not mistaken, the entrance to the Vatican itself is about 20 euros per person, but good luck with waiting on that 3-4 hour line to get in. For 30 euros more, you skip the line, and get an awesome tour guide. Our guide was Ribal, and we couldn’t ask for anyone better. The knowledge he possesses is incredible. If you’re the type of person that doesn’t REALLY want to learn about everything and just go on your own, then maybe you shouldn’t buy a GUIDED tour. Common sense.

As for the actual place, I mean, I don’t think there’s anything I can say that hasn’t been said before. The pictures you see just don’t do it any justice. Also, inside the Sistine Chapel, as we are all aware, there are no pictures allowed. That doesn’t mean you can’t just sneak one!
